The Organization for Restoring Ecosystems and Livelihoods (ORECOLIVE) is a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kenya, dedicated to reversing land degradation, conserving biodiversity, and empowering communities for sustainable development. 

At ORECOLIVE, we are leading efforts to: Combat invasive species and restore biodiversity, Restore farmlands and grazing lands, Rehabilitate degraded ecosystems, and Support sustainable agriculture and agroforestry.

We work on land degradation, climate change adaptation, biodiversity loss, invasive species management, food insecurity, poverty alleviation, energy solutions, unemployment, health and sanitation, disaster preparedness, water conservation, and education.

We use Sustainable Land Management (SLM) practices, including tree nurseries, Prosopis tree clearing, agroforestry, grassland restoration, and climate-smart agriculture approaches like alley cropping to improve soil fertility and enhance biodiversity.
